Paul Wilson Riley, 63 years old of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away at 7:55 p.m. on Monday, December 6, 2010 in the St. Joseph Hospital. Paul was born on Wednesday, September 24, 1947 in Fort Wayne, Indiana the son of the late Wilson Riley and the late Dorothy (Marquardt) Riley. He married Gale Routsong on November 29, 1975 in Fort Wayne and they had just celebrated 35 years of marriage. Paul was a very active member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Soest, rural Ft. Wayne, Indiana and the McMillen Park Lions Club in Ft. Wayne. Paul was an electrician and maintenance technician with the Ft. Wayne Parks Department and Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. He was also a part-time bus driver for Excursion Trailways in Ft. Wayne. Paul served his country in the United States Air Force. He entered active service on July 6, 1965 and was honorably discharged on July 5, 1971, having attained the rank of Sergeant E-4. He graduated with a B.S. from Indiana Wesleyan University. Surviving are his wife, Gale Riley of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Erin Riley of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; brother, John (Mary) Riley of LaGrange, Indiana; brother, Mark (Sheila) Riley of Monroeville, Indiana; nephew, Pablo "Pancho" (Jennifer) Arellano of New Haven, Indiana; 24 nieces and nephews; many great nieces and great nephews; and many other close family relatives. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, December 11, 2010 in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Soest with Pastor Kyle Krueger officiating. Interment will follow in the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Soest. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and one hour pior to the service at the church on Saturday. Preferred memorials are to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Soest.
