Goldie M. Cook, 90 years old of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, passed away at 5:05 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2007 in the Kingston Care Center located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Goldie had been a patient there since 1998. Goldie was born on Thursday, March 29, 1917 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of the late Emanuel J. Miller and the late Sylvia (Brentlinger) Miller. She married the late Arthur G. Cook on April 5, 1942 and he passed away on March 25, 1985. Goldie formerly attended Calvary Temple Church in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Goldie was a homemaker and had also worked at Briggs Aircraft Factory in Detroit and the General Electric Plant in Decatur, Indiana. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Rosco (Virginia "Gini") Miracle of Decatur, Indiana, daughter, Mrs. Bill (Bonnie) Windsor of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, son, Donald E. Cook of Decatur, Indiana, sister, Dorothy Springer of Decatur, Indiana, sister, Nettie Mabis of Payne, Ohio, brother, Lloyd Miller of Monroe, Indiana, brother, Zeal Miller of Decatur, Indiana, thirteen grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Preceding Goldie in death were one daughter, Nancy Cook; and three sisters, Margaret Myers, Nina Ross, and Mildred Sill. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2007 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Elizabeth Owens officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery Friends will be received from NOON - 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2007 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to the donor's choice.
