Frederick L. "Zeke" Hamrick, 75 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 in the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana located in Ft. Wayne. He was born on Tuesday, November 11, 1930 in Adams County, Indiana the son of the late James E. Hamrick and the late Ardella (Kallenberger) Hamrick. He married Wanda L. Gibson on September 21, 1957 in Allen County, Indiana. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Decatur and the American Legion Post #43. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Koran Conflict. Zeke retired in 1990 from Tokheim with 34 years of service. He had also drove truck for Kruse Stock Hauling in Wren, Ohio. Surviving are his wife, Wanda L. Hamrick of Decatur, Indiana, son, James R. Hamrick of Marion, Indiana, son, Rick L. Hamrick of Decatur, Indiana, son, Brad D. Hamrick of Decatur, Indiana, daughter, Sheila F. (Randy) Shoaf of Decatur, Indiana, brother, Kenneth Hamrick of Saginaw, Texas, sister, Mrs. Jack (Wilma) Wilson of Angola, Indiana, brother, Herbert Hamrick of Decatur, Indiana, sister, Dorothy Wilhite of Bluffton, Indiana, sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Gerrie) Everett of Decatur, Indiana, brother, Merle Hamrick, New York, brother, Merlin Hamrick of Berne, Indiana, sister, Patsy Evans of Avon Park, Florida, sister, Priscella Phillips of Phoeniz, Arizona, brother, Chester Hamrick of Van Wert, Ohio, and two granddaughters:Tiffany and Amber Shoaf both of Decatur. Preceding Frederick in death was one sister, Linda Baker. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Gadbaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Tricker Cemetery, Monroe, Indiana. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur.
