Ethel A. Orrick, 82 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2007 in the Select Care Speciality Hospital located in Fort Wayne following a three-month illness. She was born on Sunday, March 1, 1925 in Dierks, Arkansas the daughter of the late Henry Earl Kitchens and the late Alice (Jenkins) Kitchens. She married W. Clarence Orrick on April 28, 1943 in Dierks, Arkansas. Ethel was a factory worked for Patton Electric Company in New Haven, Indiana from 1973 to 1993. She enjoyed quilting with the local Monroeville ladies. Surviving are her husband, W. Clarence Orrick of Monroeville, Indiana, daughter, Mrs. Robert (Laverne) Van Lear of Monroeville, Indiana, daughter, Phyllis S. Zimmerman of New Haven, Indiana, daughter, Mrs. Lynn (Liz Z.) Franke of Monroeville, Indiana, seven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Preceding Ethel in death were two brothers, Wesley & Orby. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2007 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel with Rev. Laura Strack officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 29 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville. Preferred memorials are to Select Care Speciality Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.
