Rozelyn Sue Schamerloh, 53 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 1:05 a.m. on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at her residence after battling ovarian cancer for the past 4 years, however she lived a full life and did not allow circumstances to dictate her life. Roz was born on Tuesday, October 23, 1956 in Fort Wayne, Indiana the daughter of Roger Ripley and Betty (Roe) Ripley and they both survive. She married Kim J. Schamerloh on July 30, 1977 in the Decatur Nazarene Church and he survives. Roz was member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim where she was a member of the choir. Roz was a secretary at Wyneken Lutheran School; Office Manager for Dr. Carla Grote; and Daycare Provider at St. Mark's Preschool & Daycare in Decatur, Indiana. Surviving are her husband, Kim J. Schamerloh of Decatur, Indiana; son, Brad (Autumn) Schamerloh of Ossian, Indiana; daughter, Jenny (Matt) Koerner of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Megan Schamerloh of Decatur, Indiana; grandson, Noah Schamerloh; granddaugher, Aubrey Koerner; parents, Roger & Betty Ripley of Decatur, Indiana; brother, Kevin (Kris) Ripley of Decatur, Indiana; and sister, Sherry (Richard) Grote of Goshen, Indiana. Preceding Roz in death was a brother, Roger Duane Ripley. A 10:15 a.m. Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana followed by an 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Friedheim with Rev. Daniel Dahling officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Friedheim. Friends will be received from 1-4 and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and one hour prior to the prayer service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Preferred memorials are to Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim Building Fund; or Wyneken Lutheran School.
