Norma Pauline Thieme, 90 years old of Hoagland, Indiana, passed away at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2010 in the Hospice Home of Ft. Wayne located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Pauline was born on Tuesday, July 29, 1919 in Convoy, Ohio the daughter of the late Carl Hertz and the late Willhemine (Buechner) Hertz. She married Edgar A. F. Thieme on April 13, 1941 in Convoy, Ohio and he passed away on March 16, 2010. Pauline was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Decatur, Indiana, where she held offices in the Ladies Aid, LWML, and Valpo Guild. She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. Surviving are her son, Michael L. (Kathleen) Thieme of Monroeville, Indiana; son, Ronald W. (Marcy) Thieme of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Kathleen L. (Ronald) Bultemeier of Decatur, Indiana; twelve grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Preceding Pauline in death were one daughter-in-law, Arnita Thieme and one great-grandson, Dawson Bultemeier. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2010 in the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor David Koeneman officiating. Interment will follow in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in rural Decatur, Indiana. Friends will be received from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Preferred memorials are to Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund; or Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home.
