Wayne R. Nussbaum, 63 years old of The Villages, Florida, and formerly of Ft. Wayne, Indiana passed away at 10:55 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Wayne was born on Friday, May 9, 1947 in Berne, Indiana the son of Jerome Nussbaum and the late Dorcas (Liechty) Nussbaum. He married Claudia K. Horn on September 5, 2003 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and she survives. Wayne was a member of The Chapel in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He was a graduate of Berne High School Class of 1965. He also graduated from International Business College in Ft. Wayne, Indiana in 1967 with a Business Administration Degree. Wayne was a licensed agent with New York Life Insurance Company for over 40 years. He was a CLU (Certified Life Underwriter); a member of LUTCF and also a member of NAIFA (National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors). Surviving are his wife, Claudia K. Nussbaum of The Villages, Florida; daughter, Megan J. (Andrew) Brausa of New York, New York; daughter, Mollie J. (Robert) Allen of Fishers, Indiana; father, Jerome Nussbaum of Berne, Indiana; brother, Gregg (Judy) Nussbaum of Goshen, Indiana; step-son, Scott Fleck of Bloomington, Indiana; step-son, Brad Fleck of Urbana, Illinois; step-daughter, Shelley S. Ross of Roanoke, Indiana; grandson, Benson Allen IV, and granddaughter, Avery Brausa. Preceding Wayne in death were his first wife, Judith A. Nussbaum on February 6, 1996; and his mother, Dorcas Nussbaum. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2011 in The Chapel located at 2505 West Hamilton Road South in Ft. Wayne, Indiana with Rev. Rick Hawks officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery located in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Friends will be received from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2011 in The Chapel located at 2505 West Hamilton Road South in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home; or The Heritage Mission at Huntertown, Indiana.
