Steve Jackson, 62 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away at 12:51 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2012 at his residence. Steve was born on Wednesday, May 4, 1949 in Fort Wayne, Indiana the son of the late John F. Jackson M.D. and the late Kathryn E. (Beckman) Jackson. He married Margaret Ann "Maggie" Ringler on March 22, 1969 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and she survives. Steve was a graduate of Concordia High School. Steve retired in 1999 from GTE Telephone Company, (now Frontier) as a communications technician after 30 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Maggie Jackson of Monroeville, IN; son, Donavon (Wendy) Jackson of Ft. Wayne, IN; daughter, Deborah (Jesse) Renteria of New Haven, IN; daughter, Janet (Kris) Eby of Huntertown, IN; daughter, Shelly (Noah) Busse of Lansing, MI; sister, Sharon (Stu) Vigneux of Buchanan, TN; four grandsons: Cody Jackson, Odin Renteria, Paul Michael Cleveland, Noah Busse Jr.; and four granddaughters: Taylor Jackson, Samantha Jackson, Alexandria Jackson, and Zura Eby. Preceding Steve in death was one brother, Kenneth Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012 in the St. Mark's Lutheran Church with Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
