Marjorie M. Linder, 84 years old and a lifetime resident of the Monroeville area, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2008 in the Parkview Hospital located in Fort Wayne. She was born on Tuesday, October 28, 1923 in Allen County, Indiana the daughter of the late Herschal Jacquay and the late Ella L. (Martin) Jacquay. She married Cyril J. Linder on January 10, 1942. Marjorie was a member of St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church in New Haven and was active in the Rosary Society of the church. She was also in the Do Better Home Ec Club in Monroeville. She was a homemaker and had worked for St. Louis Academy and was associated with Girl Scouts for many years. She enjoyed her family & friends, playing cards, dancing, Yahtzee, camping, traveling America and sewing. Surviving are her husband, Cyril J. Linder of Monroeville, Indiana, daughter, Sandy (Ronald) Dager of New Haven, Indiana, son, Dennis (Jody) Linder of Monroeville, Indiana, son, John (Rita) Linder of Fort Wayne, Indiana, son, Rick (Jane) Linder or New Hampshire, daughter, Barb (Mike) Slater of Fort Wayne, Indiana, daughter, Lisa (Gerald) Litchfield of New Haven, Indiana, brother, Robert Jacquay of New Haven, Indiana, brother, Kenneth Jacquay of New Haven, Indiana, sister, Mary Lou (Ronald) Renier of New Haven, Indiana, nineteen grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren. Preceding Marjorie in death were an infant son, Thomas Linder in 1942, one brother, Bernon Jacquay and four sisters, Marcile DeRose, Georgiana Jacobs, Madonna Jacquay (age 3) & Celeste Jacquay (as an infant). A Prayer Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church, New Haven with Father Stephen Colchin officiating. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 3 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana. A Rosary service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Masses, Monroeville EMS or Allen County Cancer Society.
