Raymond E. "Ric" Zanglin, 52 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at his residence following and illness of 3 months. Ric was born on Saturday, December 14, 1957 in Coldwater, Ohio the son of the late Louis R. Zanglin and Patricia A. (McKenna) Zanglin and she survives. He married Madeline A. Robinson on April 9, 1983 in Ft. Myers, Florida and she survives. Ric was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Celina, Ohio; a former member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, Ohio. Ric graduated from the Immaculate Conception Grade School in Celina, Ohio; Gillmore Academy High School in Gates Mills, Ohio; and he attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ric was employed by Glenbrook Dodge, Chrysler, & Jeep Automotive Group in Ft. Wayne, Indiana in sales and management. Surviving are his wife, Madeline Zanglin of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Courtney Zanglin of Decatur, Indiana; son, Wesley Zanglin of Decatur, Indiana; mother, Patricia Zanglin of Celina, Ohio; sister, Patrice (John) Link of Tipp City, Ohio; brother, Lt. Col. Paul (Lisa) Zanglin of Montgomery, Alabama; brother, David (Dianna) Zanglin of Cleveland, Ohio; mother-in-law, Robin Foster Williams of Decatur, Indiana; step father-in-law: Larry Williams, Alford, Florida; grandson, Easton James (E.J.) Hurst of Decatur, Indiana; Future son-in-law: Cody Hurst; his loyal and devoted lapdogs: Ollie and Maxwell, and numerous nieces, nephews, and loving friends. Madeline would like to thank the loving care received from the nurses and volunteers from Family Hospice & Palliative Care including: Kenda, Amanda, Heather, Regina, Mindy, Sharon, and Darcy. Preceding Raymond in death was one infant brother, Michael Zanglin and father-in-law, Harold Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana with Pastor Kevin August officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and one hour prior to the services Thursday in the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Family Hospice & Palliative Care-Berne, Indiana or to the Zanglin Family Fund in care of any Wells Fargo Bank Branch.
