Henry E. "Hank" Lehrman, 71 years old of rural Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 4:35 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2007 at his residence. Henry was born on September 3, 1935 in Adams County, Indiana, the son of the late Harry Lehrman and the late Ruth (Schlemmer) Lehrman. He married Angeline "Angie" Kleine on October 28, 1956 in St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen and she survives. Henry served his country in the United States Army from 1955 - 1958 in Alaska. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Decatur; and the American Legion Post #420 in Monroeville, Indiana. Henry retired March 29, 1985 from International Harvester after 30 years of service and had been a Union Township farmer for 43 years. Surviving are his wife, Angie Lehrman, daughter, Julie (Larry) Hoffman of New Haven, Indiana, son, Brian Lehrman of Riverton, Utah, son, Mike (Mindy) Lehrman of Decatur, Indiana, daughter, Shari (Greg) Blackmore of Van Wert, Ohio, son, Dan (Candace) Lehrman of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, brother, Robert Lehrman of Decatur, Indiana, sister, Betty (Max) Lake of Wolcottville, Indiana, sixteen grandchildren: Amanda Hoffman, Eric Hoffman, Melissa Hoffman, Makenna Lehrman, Brody Lehrman, Ryan Lehrman, Kylee Lehrman, Aaron Lehrman, Amber Blackmore, Sierra Blackmore, Lawson Blackmore, Jacquelene Lehrman, Lucas Lehrman, Jacob Lehrman, Isaac Lehrman, Caleb Lehrman and one great-granddaughter, Ella Hoffman. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2007 in the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor David Koeneman officiating. Interment will follow in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Military Graveside Services will be conducted by American Legion Post #420 Color Guard of Monroeville, Indiana. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2007 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and one hour prior the service at the church on Friday. Preferred memorials are to Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund or Family Hospice of N E Indiana.
