Nila M. Baker, 48 years old, a lifelong resident of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away at 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at her residence in Monroeville. Nila was born on December 18, 1957 in Hicksville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Weldon W. Reas and Leila Jean (Bassett) Reas. Her mother survives. Nila was a 1976 graduate of Heritage High School and was trained in cosmetology at Anthis Vocational School. Nila was a team leader in the shipping department at C.M.E. Automotive in Monroeville, Indiana where she had been employed since 1997. Surviving are her daughter, Rebecca M. Baker of Lebanon, Indiana, daughter, Mrs. Josh (Stephanie A.) Harding, Hawaii, Mother, L. Jean Reas- Swygart of Monroeville, Indiana, sister, Mrs. David (Linda E.) Anderson of Monroeville, Indiana, and former husband, Robert A. Baker of Monroeville, Indiana. Nila was preceded in death by by her father, Weldon W. Reas in 2000 and her step father, Jack Swygart in 2005. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 2, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana with the Chaplain Karen Kosberg officiating. Friends will be received from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Sunday, January 1, 2006 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. Preferred memorials are to Parkview Hospice; A.L.S. in Indianapolis, Indiana; or the Heritage High School Band.
