Earl J. Gerardot, 92 years old of New Haven, Indiana, passed away at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2005 in the Dallas Lamb Foundation located in Payne, Ohio, where he had been a patient since 2003. Earl was born on September 3, 1913 in Allen County, Indiana, the son of the late Alfred Gerardot and the late Mary (Dager) Gerardot. He married Bertha E. Emenhiser on January 25, 1938 in the St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church located in rural New Haven, Indiana. Earl was a member of St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church. Earl retired from farming due to disability in 1956. Surviving are his wife, Bertha E. (Emenhiser) Gerardot of Payne, Ohio, daughter, Doris A. (Kenneth) Reinhart of Antwerp, Ohio, daughter, Sandra K. Waldron of Van Wert, Ohio, daughter, Joan L. (Jerry) Zimmerman of Dandridge, Tennessee, son, Dale J. (Nelle) Gerardot of Woodburn, Indiana, son, Gary E. (Kris) Gerardot of Payne, Ohio, sister, Dorothy Sitcler of Payne, Ohio, fourteen grandchildren, and twenty-six great-grandchildren. Earl was preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard and Sylvester Gerardot; two sisters, Virginia Gerardot and Mildred Voirol; one grandson, James Waldron; and one son-in-law, Harry Waldron. There will be a 9:20 a.m. Prayer Service, Wednesday, January 4, 2006 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon, rural New Haven, Indiana, with the Fr. Stephen Colchin officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery - Besancon. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana. There will be a Rosary Service at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Preferred memorials are Masses to the church.
