Edna M. Stewart, 97 years old of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2006 in Lutheran Home of Fort Wayne. She was born on Monday, April 27, 1908 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Christian Borne and the late Katherine (Korte) Borne. She married C. Lynn Stewart on January 30, 1937 in Adams County, Indiana. He died January 24, 1979. Edna was a member of Wren United Methodist Church, Wren, Ohio. She was a homemaker and also taught school for eight years in Adams County. Surviving are her son, Lee (Eleanor) Stewart of Fort Wayne, Indiana, son, Robert (Barb) Stewart of Chatham, New Jersey, granddaughter, Dr. Lisa Stewart of Charleston, South Carolina, granddaughter, Susan Stewart of Boston, Massachusetts, granddaughter, Amy Stewart of Boston, Massachusetts, sister, Eulalia Augsberger of Decatur, Indiana, and brother, Raymond Borne of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Preceding Edna in death were three sisters, Ida Yost, Frances Jaberg, & Esther Bieberich and two brothers, Chalmer & Noah Borne. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Rossman officiating. Interment will follow in the Wren Cemetery, Wren, Ohio. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 23 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to Lutheran Homes or the Southern Care Hospice.
