Leona R. Patrick, 87 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 in the Woodcrest Nursing Center in Decatur, Indiana. Leona was born on December 11, 1918 in Adams County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Louis Selking and the late Ruth (Marbach) Selking. She married the late Waymon (Pat) Patrick on September 16, 1936 in Hartford City, Indiana and he passed away on May 6, 2000. Leona was a member of American Legion Auxiliary and the Home Health of Adams County. Leona retired in 1974 from Decatur General Electric Payroll Department after 21 years service. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Beverly K.) Morton of Zephyrhills , Florida, daughter, Mrs. Alvin (V. Kathy) Hackman of Decatur, Indiana, twelve grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Leona was preceded in death by one sister, Melba Redding; and two brothers, Robert and Gordon Selking. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2006 in the Zion Lutheran Church, Decatur with Pastor Scott Bruick and Pastor Daniel Gadbaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 29, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and one hour prior to the church on Tuesday. Preferred memorials are to the Forward in Faith Thank Offering at Zion Lutheran Church, Decatur.
