Eileen E. Reinking, 86 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2010 in the Woodcrest Nursing Center. She was born on Monday, October 1, 1923 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Richard F. Bleeke and the late Lydia C. (Krueckeberg) Bleeke. She married the late Karl W. Reinking on December 5, 1943 in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Decatur and he passed away on October 29, 2001. Eileen was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Decatur where she was primarily involved, along with her late husband Karl, in the church choir, a children's Sunday school teacher for twenty years, and also the Emmaus Guild. She was also active in the Lutheran Chorale and a ladies bowling league in Decatur. She was a hostess at the Galley and Back 40 (Fairway) and was well-known for being the local Welcome Wagon Hostess. She was also a Stanley Home Products Dealer. Surviving are her daughter, Janet (David) Heimann of Decatur, son, Larry (Caroline) Reinking of Decatur, daughter, Kathy (Craig) Smith of Waterloo, Indiana, son, William Reinking of Bronxville, New York, five grandchildren; Laurie Tetzloff, Suzanne Buchs, Jeff Reinking, Jennifer Reese & Betsy Braun, two step-grandchildren; Walter Smith & Mary Vazquez, five great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. Preceding Eileen in death were a brother, Arnold Bleeke, a sister, Flora Neuenschwander and a son-in-law, Dave "Nellie" Clark. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2010 in the Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Phil Phifer officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 25, 2010 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Preferred memorials are to Zion Lutheran Church, Decatur.
