Juanita K. Myers, 88 years old of rural Monroe, Indiana, passed away at 11:41 p.m.on Saturday, March 25, 2006 in the Swiss Village located in Berne, Indiana. Juanita was born on August 15, 1917 in Decherd, Tennessee, the daughter of the late David Wintrow and the late Katherine (Fogel) Wintrow. She married the late Charlie H. Myers on June 14, 1936 in Geneva, Indiana and he passed away on February 25, 2004. Juanita was an active member of the Union United Methodist Church; a Sunday School teacher; Youth Group leader; past president of the Women's Missionary; and a Blue Creek Twp. 4-H leader. She was homemaker and had worked at the former Val Department Store in Decatur, Indiana. Surviving are her son, Lynn Myers of Monroe, Indiana, son, J. David (Barb) Myers of Topeka, Indiana, son, Carl (Elizabeth J.) Myers of Lexington Park, Maryland; sister-in-law: Mable Freewald of Decatur, Indiana; eight grandchildren: John, Drew, and Mike Myers; Misschell Phelps, Carla Myers, Mindy Fruechte, Katie Myers, and Carley Myers; two step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Juanita was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Renee Myers (Jan. 3, 2004); one grandson, Scott David Myers; three brothers, Harold, Herschel and Don Wintrow; and one sister, Crystal Gibson. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Tom Brunstrup and Rev. Bill Simms officiating. Interment will follow in the Tricker Cemetery of rural Monroe, Indiana. Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2006 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana; and from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2006 in the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the Union United Methodist Church.
