Irma M. Baron, 92 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 12:00 noon on Thursday, November 9, 2006 in the Swiss Village located in Berne, Indiana. Irma had been a resident of Decatur since 1981. Irma was born on August 17, 1914 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana the daughter of the late Max E. Miller and the late Hilma (Jahn) Miller. She married the late Max J. Baron on June 20, 1936 and he passed away in March of 1982. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana and was a homemaker. Surviving are her son, Douglas N. (Sue) Baron of Worthington, Ohio, son, Dr. Rick W. Baron of Decatur, Indiana, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren. Preceding Irma in death were one daughter, Anita Maxwell on April 9, 2002; three brothers, and nine sisters. Private family funeral services will be held Saturday, November 11, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with the Rev. Mary Jo Mikulski officiating. Interment will follow in the Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to the Family Hospice of N E Indiana or the donor's choice. Irma's family would expecially like to acknowledge the loving care given to her by the folks at Hospice and Swiss Village.
