Max O. Case, 83 years old of Berne, Indiana, went to be with the Lord at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, 2006 at his residence. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Max was born on September 15, 1923 in Ina, Oklahoma the son of the late Isaac J. Case and the late Harriet (Fox) Case. He married Mary R. Ross on April 15, 1947 in Monroeville, Indiana. Max served his country during World War II in the United States Army, serving in Japan. Max retired from McIntosh in Berne, Indiana in 1976. Surviving are his wife, Mary R. Case of Berne, Indiana, daughter, Mrs. Henry (Sharon) Findley of Decatur, Indiana, daughter, Karen Case of Tucson, Arizona, son, Max Case of Convoy, Ohio, son, Alan Case of Willshire, Ohio, son, John Case of Rockford, Ohio, daughter, Mrs. Randel (Ruth) Davis of Bryant, Indiana, daughter, Mrs. David (Helen) Pritchard of Berne, Indiana, sister, Mrs. Bud (Joan) Sheets of Decatur, Indiana, sister, Carole Gaskill of Monroeville, Indiana, twenty-six grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren. Preceding Max in death were one daughter, Mary Miller; one grandson, Roy Miller; four brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Van Cise officiating. Interment will follow in the Willshire Cemetery, Willshire, Ohio. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2006 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
