Phyllis M. McCullough, 72 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 1:00 a.m. on Saturday at her residence following an extended illness. Phyllis was born on October 12, 1934 in Jay County, Indiana the daughter of the late James Henry Barr and the late Bertha M. (Zigler) Barr. She married Edward A. McCullough on November 9, 1952 in Zion Lutheran Church, Decatur. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schumm, Ohio. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxillary Post #43 and the Women of the Moose. Survivors include her husband, Edward A. McCullough of Decatur, Indiana, son, Timothy E. McCullough of Decatur, Indiana, son & daughter-in-law, James B. (Pam) McCullough of Decatur, Indiana, son & his companion, Kenneth P. (Sandra Coleman) McCullough of Decatur, Indiana, daughter and her companion, Tonya A. (Sandra Stillson) McCullough of Warsaw, Indiana, daughter-in "law, Jan McDowell of Fort Wayne, Indiana, four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren and one step great great-grandchild. Preceding Phyllis in death were two sons, Dennis A. McCullough and Jon McCullough in infancy, one brother, Henry P. Barr, three sisters, Sandra I. Cottrell, Zenobia M. Barr & Mary J. Hoffman and two grandchildren, Jebadiah & Ashley McCullough. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schumm with Pastor Robert Becker officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Preferred memorials are to the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schumm, Adams County Visiting Nurses or the Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana.
