Eileen M. Lomont, 88 years old of New Haven, Indiana, passed away at 11:15 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2009 in the Village of Heritage located in Monroeville, diana. Eileen was born on Tuesday, February 15, 1921 in Woodburn, Indiana the daughter of the late Jule S. Voirol and the late Julia (Gremaux) Voirol. She married the late Cletus E. Lomont on November 25, 1941 in the St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon and he passed away on February 21, 1993. Eileen was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon in New Haven, Indiana. She liked to cook, and was well known for her homemade chicken & noodles and Amish cookies. She enjoyed scrap-booking chronicles from newspapers. Her family was always her priority. Eileen provided health care for uncles, sisters, and her mother in the last years of their lives. Eileen was a homemaker and had worked at Magnavox Comapny in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1938 for one year. Eileen is survived by her son, Robert D. Lomont of New Haven, Indiana; son, Richard E. (Patricia) Lomont of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; son, Wayne F. (Jennifer) Lomont of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; son, Jerry P. Lomont of Holland, Michigan; daughter, Marsha A. (James) Sherwood of New Haven, Indiana; daughter, Janice S. (Tom) Dodane of New Haven, Indiana; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren. Preceding Eileen in death were six brothers, Chester, Cletus, Leonard, Kenneth, Theodore, and Arthur Voirol; and three sisters, Garnet Girardot, Helen Ort, and Hilda Voirol. A Prayer Service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2009 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana followed a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church, New Haven, Indiana with Fr. Stephen Colchin officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery - Besancon, New Haven, Indiana. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2009 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana. A Vigil Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Preferred memorials are Masses or to Parkview Hospice.
