Delbert J. "Cub" Hart, 82 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away at 9:46 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2006 at his residence. Delbert was born on September 27, 1923 in Monroeville, Indiana, the son of the late Lyman V. Hart and the late Hazel B. (Krick) Hart. He married Arvis R. Lehman on May 11, 1946 in Allen County, Indiana and she survives. Delbert served his country in the United States Army Air Force during WWII as a Corporal from January 1943 to December 1945, serving in the Western Pacific Theater. "Cub" was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock of rural Monroeville, Indiana, where he served as an usher and trustee. He was a member of the American Legion Post #420 and V.F.W. #10205 of Monroeville. Delbert retired from farming in 1988. Surviving are his wife, Arvis R. Hart of Monroeville, Indiana, daughter, Mrs. Larry (Rebecca J.) Coomer of Monroeville, Indiana, son, Bernard J. (Faye) Hart of Monroeville, Indiana, son, Burton E. (Pam) Hart of Columbia City, Indiana, daughter, Betty J. Klenke of Monroeville, Indiana, son, Bryan J. (Nan) Hart of Columbia City, Indiana, sister, Dorothy Eibling of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, sister, Mrs. Harvey (Velma) Bacon of New Haven, Indiana, sister, Mrs. Robert (Elsie M.) Weaver of Convoy, Ohio, sister, Mrs. Paul (Marvene) Bower of Hoagland, Indiana, seventeen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. Preceding Delbert in death was a brother in infancy. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2006 in the St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock with Rev. Douglas Christian officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2006 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday. Preferred memorials are to St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock; Parkview Hospice, Monroeville EMS, or the donor's choice.
