Joan E. Wemhoff, 80 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 7:25 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2006 in the Woodcrest Nursing Center located in Decatur, Indiana. Joan was born on August 7, 1925 in Decatur, Indiana the daughter of the late Oswald Wemhoff and the late Helen (Weber) Wemhoff. Joan was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Decatur, Indiana. She was a longtime employee of G.T.E. Joan enjoyed playing bridge, big bands, musicals, cooking, traveling, Bible study, and children. Surviving are several cousins. Joan was preceded in death by one brother, Richard "Dick" Wemhoff on October 19, 2004. A 9:30 a.m. Prayer Service will be held Monday, February 13, 2006 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, February 13, 2006 in the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with Father Dave Voors officiating. Interment will follow in the St Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Decatur, Indiana. Friends will be received from 12:00 NOON-2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana.
