Linda L. Selking, 98 years old of Hoagland, Indiana passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2007 in the Village of Heritage located in Monroeville. She was born on Sunday, November 8, 1908 in Monroeville, Indiana the daughter of the late John Hoffman and the late Emma (Jackemeyer) Hoffman. She married the late Paul J. F. Selking on April 20, 1930 in St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock and he passed away in 1974. Linda was a homemaker and a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock in Monroeville, Indiana where she was also involved in the Ladies Aid of the Church. Surviving are her daughter, Lora L. Hormann of Monroeville, Indiana, daughter, Della E. Conrad of Fort Wayne, Indiana, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild. Preceding Linda in death were one son, Albert F. Selking on August 1, 1990, three sisters, Esther Bearman, Velma Werling & Olga Hartman, five brothers, Edwin, Nicholas, John, Arthur & Fredrick Hoffman and one great-grandson, Ryan Hormann on November 30, 2003. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2007 in the St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock with Rev. Douglas Christian officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery Flatrock. Friends will be received from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 21 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Preferred memorials are to Worship for Shut-Ins or St. John's Lutheran Church-General Fund.
