Roy H. Bleeke, 85 years old of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 in the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home located in Fort Wayne. He was born on Tuesday, November 17, 1925 in Decatur, Indiana the son of the late Fred Bleeke and the late Lydia (Ehlerding) Bleeke. He married the late Pauline L. Hannie, she preceded him in death on March 23, 2002. Roy was a former member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. He was a member of the Town and Country Registry, an organization for owners of classic cars. Roy spent much time collecting Chrysler Town and Country Vehicles and was an active member of the organization. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School (now St. Peter - Immanuel Lutheran School) through 8th grade. Following his graduation, he attended Decatur High School and graduated in 1943. Roy was a self-employed owner of Bleeke Oil Company, which conducted dust control measures for gravel roads, for over 30 years. Surviving are his daughter, Claudia (Michael) Colvin of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, daughter, Jewell (Gerould) Kern of Long Grove, Illinois, sister, Esther Martin of New London, Wisconsin, five grandchildren; Matthew Colvin, Grant Colvin, Jara Kern, Justin Kern and Garret Kern and seven great-grandchildrern. Preceding Roy in death were sister, Marie Bleeke and brother, Harry Bleeke. A Collection of Memories Luncheon will begin at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2011, in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur with interment following at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Decatur. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. Preferred memorials are to Lutheran Life Villages in Fort Wayne.
