Ned W. Shull, 95 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Parkview Hospital located in Fort Wayne. He had been in failing health for two months. He was born on Monday, July 13, 1914 in St. Joe, Indiana the son of the late O.K. Shull and the late Mildred (Hamilton) Shull. He married Patricia L. Cooper on August 27, 1966 in Monroeville United Methodist Church. Ned was a member of East Liberty United Methodist Church. He was a 1933 graduate of St. Joe (Ind.) High School and was a lifelong farmer; retiring in 1991. Surviving are his wife, Patricia L. Shull of Monroeville and son, Thomas K. Shull of Monroeville. Preceding Ned in death were three brothers; Carlton, Frank & Joseph Shull and two sisters; Virginia Gray & Katherine Haller. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2009 in the East Liberty United Methodist Church with Rev. Barry McCune officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 7 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church. Preferred memorials are to East Liberty United Methodist Church.
