Wilbert T. "Whip" Reinking, 91 years old of Decatur, Indiana passed away at 12:08 a.m. Monday, November 23, 2009 in the Woodcest Nursing Center. Wilbert was born on April 14, 1918 in Adams County, Indiana the son of the late Martin H. Reinking and the late Martha (Bauermeister) Reinking. He married Alvena Bultemeier on January 18, 1941 at St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen and she passed away on April 14, 2008. Wilbert was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen. Wilbert was a longtime Hoagland area farmer and he also retired from Parrots Packing with 27 years of service. Surviving are his daughter, Carolyn (Roger) Grotrian of Decatur, Indiana; son, Jim Reinking of Decatur, Indiana; brother, Donald Reinking of New Haven, Indiana; brother, Henry Reinking of New Haven, Indiana; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild. Preceding Wilbert in death were two brothers, Raymond and Vernon Reinking and one sister, Leona Lampe. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009 in the St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen with Pastor John Dreyer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2009 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Preferred memorials are to Worship For Shut Ins or the Lutheran Hour.
