Alyce A. Haugk, 65 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 in the Adams Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. Her death was unexpected and followed a brief illness. She was born on Tuesday, October 1, 1946 in Decatur, Indiana the daughter of the late Chalmer H. DeBolt and the late Ruth I. "Toots" (Macklin) DeBolt. She married Elroy Haugk on June 5, 1966 in the 1st Presbyterian Church in Decatur. Alyce was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Decatur where she was a member of the Presbyterian Woman (Naomi Circle). She held honorary membership with the Psi Iota Xi Sorority and was a member of the Fort Wayne area Post Polio Support Group. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. William Gillig in Decatur for many years. Surviving are her husband, Elroy Haugk of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Amy (Scott) Osborne of West Chester, Ohio; son, Matthew (Katie) Haugk of Westfield, Indiana; brother, Phillip A. (Evelyn) DeBolt of Decatur, Indiana. She is also survived by five grandchildren; Trevor Osborne, Allyson Osborne, Zoe Haugk, Aynsley Haugk & Camden Haugk. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur with Pastor Marcia Cline officiating. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 4 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur and one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to First Presbyterian Church or the donor's choice.
