Paul Fuhrmann, 92 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 22, 2010 at the River Terrace Estates located in Bluffton, Indiana, where he had been a resident since November 2008. Paul was born on November 30, 1917 in Adams County, Indiana the son of the late Gustav Fuhrmann and the late Lydia (Oetting) Fuhrmann Reese. He married the late Adelinda M. Buuck on June 3, 1944 and she passed away on October 1, 1979. Paul was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim. Paul was a lifelong farmer and hauled livestock for over 40 years. Surviving are his daughter, Delores L. (Mort) Maldeney of Monroeville, Indiana; daughter, Lois J. (John) Lane of Greer, South Carolina; daughter, Sharon K. (Mike) Christianer of Decatur, Indiana; son, Elden P. (Colleen) Fuhrmann of Monroeville, Indiana; son, Lynn D. Fuhrmann of Decatur, Indiana; son, Leonard K. Fuhrmann of Decatur, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Colleen Fuhrmann of Preble, Indiana; brother, Elbert Fuhrmann of Decatur, Indiana; sister, Erna Bultemeier of Fort Wayne, Indiana; fifteen grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren. Preceding Paul in death were three sons, Ronald, Larry, and Dean Fuhrmann; one brother, Hugo Fuhrmann; one half-brother, Herman Reese; and one son-in-law, Tom Colchin. A Prayer Service will be held Friday, March 26, 2010 at 10:15 a.m. in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Friedheim with Rev. Daniel Dahling officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Friedheim. Friends will be received from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana.
