Warren W. Harden, 88 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 9:16 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2009 at his residence. Warren was born on Friday, May 20, 1921 in Decatur, Indiana the son of the late Morris Harden and the late Edna (Welty) Harden. Warren was a lifelong member of United Brethren In Christ Church which is now Cornerstone; General Electric Quarter Century Club; and served as church organist for over 50 years. He was a graduate of Decatur High School Class of 1940. Warren was a Certification Inspector for General Electric in Decatur, Indiana and retired in 1983 after 40 years and 7 months of service. Surviving is his brother, Paul L. Harden of Decatur, Indiana. Preceding Warren in death was one brother, Fred R. Harden. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2009 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Pastor John Follet, Rev. Jim Sturgeon, and Pastor Mark Beers officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 7, 2009 at the Woodcrest Porter Auditorium and from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to United Brethren Missions.
