Dolores M. Duff, 88 years old of Willshire, Ohio passed away at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at her sons residence in New Palestine, Indiana. Dolores was born on March 7, 1922 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Vercil Hoblet and the late Bertha Mae (Burnett) Hoblet. She married the late Eugene J. Gene Duff on December 21, 1940 in Burlington, Kentucky and he passed away on December 5, 2009. They had been married for 69 years. A lifelong resident in the Willshire area, Dolores was the only cheerleeder on Willshires 1939 State Tourney team. A tireless worker in the Union Evangelical United Brethren Church and later the Countryside Church of the Nazarene; she served for many years as treasurer, youth leader, and Sunday School teacher. Dolores was member of the Adams County Home Extension Club and the Friendship Village. She was a graduate of Willshire High School Class of 1939 and was a homemaker. Surviving are her son, David (Linda) Duff of New Palestine, Indiana, son, Jerry (Linda) Duff of Dayton, Ohio, daughter, Linda (Tom) Wicks of San Clemente, California, five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Preceding Dolores in death were a son, Johnnie Bill Duff and a sister, Esther Hoblet Christner. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana with the Pastor Carol Tumbleson officiating. Interment will follow in the Willshire Cemetery, Willshire, Ohio. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to the Countryside Church of the Nazarene.
