James F. Omlor, 67 years old of Hudson, IN, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at his residence. James was born on Tuesday, February 24, 1942 in Decatur, Indiana the son of the late Jerome Omlor and the late Sadie (Fisher) Omlor. James served his country in the Army National Guard. James was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church at Big Long Lake, Indiana and a former member of St.Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur, Indiana. He was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus #864 Decatur. James retired from International Harvester in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Surviving are his brother, Thomas (Shirley) Omlor of Monroeville, IN; brother, Gerald "Jerry" (Beth) Omlor of Delores, CO; brother-in-law, Ed Heidenreich of Fort Wayne, IN; seventeen nieces and nephews. Preceding James in death were two sisters, Phyllis Heidenreich and Patricia Palcic. A Prayer service weill be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur, Indiana with Father Dave Voors officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cathlolic Cemetery, Decatur. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. A Rosary will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Adams County Diabetes Connection or Masses to the church.
