Charlotte Conrad, 87 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 11:50 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2007 in the Adams Memorial Hospital located in Decatur, Indiana. Charlotte was born on May 24, 1919 in Allen County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Herman Moellering and the late Bertha (Scheuman) Moellering. She married the late Walter A. Conrad on December 25, 1941 in the Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim, and he passed away on January 20, 1989. Charlotte was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Preble, Indiana; a member of the Sewing Society; and the Fireman's Auxillary of Preble. Charlotte was a homemaker. Surviving are her daughter, Becky (Tom) DeKoninck of Decatur, Indiana, daughter, Nancy (William) Ladd of Spencerville, Indiana, sister, Dorathea Hoffman of Decatur, Indiana, five grandchildren: Brian Carpenter, Michael Carpenter, Monica Gustin, Matthew DeKoninck, and Amy DeKoninck; and four great-grandchildren: Tyler carpenter, Kirsten Gustin, Collin carpenter, and Koby Gustin. Preceding Charlotte in death were twin sons, Richard and Robert Conrad; three brothers, Walter Moellering; Carl Moellering; and an infant brother; and one sister, Mrs. Lorene Hoffman. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2007 in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble with Rev. Daniel J. Brege officiating. Interment will follow in the St Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2007 and from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2007 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Preferred memorials are to Worship For Shut-Ins or the donor's choice.
