Anita L. Sovine, 89 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2011 in the Woodcrest Nursing Center located in Decatur. Anita was born on Wednesday, January 18, 1922 in Van Wert County, Ohio the daughter of the late Walter G. Stetler and the late Daisy P. (August) Stetler. She married the late Luther A. Sovine on July 26, 1941 in Purvis, Mississippi and he passed away on November 2, 1991. Anita was a member of the Decatur and Willshire American Legion Auxiliary. Anita retired from General Electric in 1977 with twenty-five years and two months of service. Surviving are her daughter, Patricia J. Free of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Pamela J. (Joseph) Longsworth of Decatur, Indiana; son, David W. (Terrie) Sovine of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Lori A. (Ted) Miller of Pleasant Mills, Indiana; sister, Ann Young of Willshire, Ohio; sister-in-law, Helen Stetler of Willshire, Ohio; sister-in-law, Bonnie Stetler of Decatur, Indiana; sister-in-law, Sharon Garnett of New Haven, Indiana; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceding Anita in death were three brothers; Jack, Charles "Chub" & Walter "Gene" Stetler; four sisters; Imogene (infancy), Maxine Huffman, Mary Lou Suman, & Okaleah "Okie" Fuelling and one grandson, Jody Sovine. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Rutledge and Chaplin Chris Thurow officiating. Interment will follow in the Willshire Cemetery, Willshire, Ohio. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2011 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. Preferred memorials are to Riley Children's Hospital.
