Bessie M. Jacobs, 87 years old of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away at 11:55 p.m. on Monday, March 29, 2010 in the St. Anthony' s Hospital located in St. Petersburg. She was born on Monday, September 11, 1922 in Convoy, Ohio. She married the late Franklin W. "Jake" Jacobs on January 18, 1939 in Van Wert, Ohio and he passed away on March 27, 1995. Bessie was a homemaker. Surviving are her son, Jesse Jacobs of Tampa, Florida; son, Richard Jacobs of Van Wert, Ohio; daughter, Thelma Jean Wuertz of St. Petersburg, Florida; daughter, Shirley Jones of Centralia, Washington; daughter, Linda Morris of Van Wert, Ohio; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Preceding Bessie in death were two sons, Wayne and William Jacobs; daughter, Peggy Jacobs; one grandson and one brother, Paul Shanyfelt. Funeral services will be held at Monday, April 5, 2010 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Mosser officiating. Interment will follow in the Kings Cemetery in rural Convoy, Ohio. Friends will be from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, 2010 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. Preferred memorials are to the family.
