Leona A. Krick, 86 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2007 in the Woodcrest Nursing Center located in Decatur. She was born on Thursday, July 22, 1920 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Carl Koenemann and the late Wilhelmina (Schultz) Koenemann. She married the late Hubert E. Krick on August 1, 1948 in St. Paul Lutheran Church. He passed away on May 2, 1981. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble and the Lutheran Layman's League. Leona retired in 1986 from General Electric with 43 years of service. Surviving are several nieces & nephews, sister-in-law, Della Hockemeyer of Decatur, Indiana, sister-in-law, Helen Hawkins of Decatur, Indiana, brother-in-law, Roger Krick of Decatur, Indiana, step brother-in-law, Larry Krick of Decatur, Indiana. Preceding Leona in death were two sisters, Olga Krueckeberg & Selma Hunt and two brothers, Oscar Koenemann and one brother in infancy. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2007 in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble with Rev. Daniel J. Brege officiating. Interment will follow in St Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 9 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Preferred memorials are to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Hour.
