Franklin M. Buuck, 73 years old of rural Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at his residence after a lengthy illness. Franklin was born on Sunday, July 30, 1933 in Allen County, Indiana, the son of the late Martin C. Buuck and the late Amanda (Gallmeyer) Buuck. He married Marilyn J. Boerger on April 11, 1953 in St. Peter Lutheran and she survives. Franklin served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim in rural Decatur, Indiana; a lifelong active member of the church; and the American Legion Post #43. Franklin retired from General Electric, Ft. Wayne, Indiana in 1992 after 37 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Marilyn J. Buuck of Decatur, Indiana, son, Glenn (Angie) Buuck of Hoagland, Indiana, daughter, Mrs. Bill (Brenda) Kalb of Columbus, Ohio, son, Kevin (Dawn) Buuck of Decatur, Indiana, and seven grandchildren. Preceding Franklin in death were three brothers, Herbert, Arnold, and Gerhard Buuck; and two sisters, Loriene Bleke, and Karen Buuck. A 1:15 p.m. Prayer Service will be held Sunday, April 1, 2007 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana followed with a 2:00 p.m. funeral service in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Friedheim with Rev. Daniel Dahling officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Friedheim Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2007 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and from 10:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
