Roger Dean Snider, Sr. 75 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away at 6:13 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at his residence. Roger was born on Friday, September 6, 1935, the son of the late Wilmer Snider and the late Blanche (Richman) Snider. He married Lutisha Mackey on December 18, 1965 and she survives. Roger was a believer in Christ Jesus. He was a member of the East Allen County Church of Christ. He was a member of the American Legion Post #330 in New Haven, Indiana. Roger served his country in the Indiana Air National guard and was activated to the United States Air Force, serving in France during the Berlin Crisis in 1961. Roger owned and operated Snider's Garage; had formerly worked at Kunkle Valve in Ft. Wayne; and Quake Manufacturing in Ft. Wayne. Surviving are his wife, Lutisha Snider of Monroeville, Indiana; son, R.D. (Renna) Snider of Monroeville, Indiana; son, Rex L. (Caryn) Snider of Fremont, Indiana; son, Eric L. (Holly) Snider of Cincinnati, Ohio; four granddaughters, and four grandsons. Preceding Roger in death were his parents, Wilmer and Blanche Snider; and one brother, Robert Snider. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 14, 2011 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel with Everett Confer officiating. Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven, Indiana. Friends will be received from 1-6 p.m. Sunday, February 13, 2011 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday.
