Jessica L. Hart, 60 years old of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 in the Parkview Whitley Hospital located in Columbia City, Indiana, following her battle with cancer since 2001. She was a resident of Columbia City for 16 years and a former resident of Monroeville, Indiana. Jessica was born on Saturday, February 8, 1947 in Allen County, Indiana the daughter of the late Robert P. Webster and the late Beatrice (Hawthorn) Webster. She married Max L. Hart on March 31, 1987 and he survives. Jessica was a member of the American Legion Auxillary Unit #420 in Monroeville, Indiana; she was a 1965 graduate of Monroeville High School and had attended the Raedel Secretarial College. Jessica was a floral designer and had operated two of her own flower shops in years past. She retired in 2004 from Gassafy Greehouse in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Surviving are her husband, Max L. Hart of Columbia City, Indiana, daughter, Mrs. Scott (Carey Ann) Minnich of Convoy, Ohio, daughter, Mrs. Daryl (Holly Lynn) Porter of Chicago, Illinois, son, Anthony Allen Stephenson of New Haven, Indiana, step-son, James L. Hart of Larquis, Missouri, step-daughter, Mrs. Kevin (Tamara Lynn) Wenger of Monroeville, Indiana, step-son, Christopher Dale Hart of Monroeville, Indiana, brother, Douglas Webster of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, brother, Gregory Webster of Kent, Washington, fifteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2008 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel with the Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery, Monroeville, Indiana. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2008 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
