Hugo Bulmahn, 92 years old, a former resident of the Preble, Indiana area and a recent resident of LaBelle, Florida, passed away at 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 in the Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center in Fort Myers, Florida. Hugo was born on November 16, 1914 in Adams County, Indiana, the son of the late Fred Bulmahn and the late Louise (Meyer) Bulmahn. He married Florence R. Marbach on June 21, 1942 in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Union Township, rural Decatur, Indiana, and she survives. Hugo was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble; and the Preble Fire Department. Hugo owned and operated orange groves in LaBelle, Florida along with a farm and excavating business in Decatur, Indiana. Surviving are his wife, Florence R. Bulmahn of Decatur, Indiana, son, Gerald (Laurna) Bulmahn of Decatur, Indiana, daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Maxine) Nahrwold of Ossian, Indiana, son, Kenneth (Sherry) Bulmahn of Idaho Falls, Idaho, sister, Esther Erxleben of Decatur, Indiana, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one step-great-grandchild. Preceding Hugo in death were two brothers, Theodore and Raymond Bulmahn; and one sister, Paula Bulmahn. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2007 in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble with Rev. Daniel J. Brege officiating. Interment will follow in the St Paul Lutheran Cemetery, in Preble, Indiana Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. " 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. "8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2007 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
