Ardena M. Hunter, 79 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2006 in Adams Memorial Hospital. She was born on Monday, May 9, 1927 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Roy Nevil and the late Emma (Jack) Nevil. She married Robert E. Hunter on September 13, 1947 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Robert passed away on August 22, 1997. Ardena was a homemaker. She had also previously worked as a cook at the Country Charm Restaurant and the Red Shaffer Restaurant. Surviving are her son, Donald L. Hunter Sr. of Fort Wayne, Indiana, son, Robert A. Hunter of Columbia City, Indiana, son, Richard L. Hunter of Convoy, Ohio, Roger D. Hunter of Geneva, Indiana, daughter, Patricia J. Hunter of Decatur, Indiana, daughter, Margaret E. Hunter of Decatur, Indiana, brother, Ivan Nevil of Geneva, Indiana, brother, DeWayne Nevil of Muncie, Indiana, twelve grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Preceding Ardena in death were one sister, Ilene Bowen, three brothers, Lester, Vernon, & Larry Nevil, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Nevil officiating. Interment will follow in the Westlawn Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 6 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorial are to Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana or Meals on Wheels.
