Marlene J. Pierce, 66 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away 1:35 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2009 in the Parkview Hospital located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Marlene was born on Wednesday, January 13, 1943 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Luther Gibson and the late Mary H. (Feasby) Gibson. She married Keith D. Pierce on July 2, 1966 in the Parkview Chapel. Marlene was a member of the East Liberty United Methodist Church in rural Monroeville, Indiana. Marlene was a homemaker and a former L.P.N. nurse at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana for several years. Surviving are her husband, Keith D. Pierce of Monroeville, Indiana; son, Leslie R. Pierce of Elk Grove, California; son, Christopher K. (Kellie) Pierce of Monroeville, Indiana; brother, James W. Gibson of Convoy, Ohio; and three grandchildren: Kelsie Biglin; Madelyn and Lillian Pierce. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2010 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel with Rev. Barry McCune and rev. Steve Waterman officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 3-8 p.m. Friday, January 1, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to Monroeville EMS.
