Robert V. "Bobby" Howe, 58 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 11:12 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2006 in the Adams Memorial Hospital located in Decatur, Indiana. Bobby was born on August 18, 1947 in Maysville, Kentucky, the son of the late James E. Howe and the late Anne Lois (Prather) Howe. He married Lisa Lumpkins on August 13, 1986 in Joliet, Illinois and she survives. Bobby was a member of Decatur Moose Lodge #1311; Adams Post #43 American Legion in Decatur, Indiana; and the Masonic Lodge in Lockport, Illinois. Bobby served his country in the United States Army during the Vietman War. Bobby retired from General Motors in 1998 following 32 years of service where he worked on the assembly line. After retirement, he worked at the Bottle Barn, Grey Goose Golf Course, and Cross Creek Golf Course, all located in Decatur, Indiana. Surviving are his wife, Lisa Howe of Decatur, Indiana, son, Robert V. Howe Jr. of Daytona, Florida, son, Marc A. Howe of Decatur, Indiana, son, Timothy J. (Dawn) Howe of Grand Ridge, Illinois, daughter, Stephanie Howe of Decatur, Indiana, step-son, Joshua Royster of Decatur, Indiana, brother, James Howe of Dixon, Illinois, brother, Richard (Joyce) Howe of Bemidji, Minnesota, brother, Danny (Annette) Howe of Channohan, Illinois, brother, Michael (Robbie) Howe of Las Vegas, Nevada, brother, Thomas (Michele) Howe of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, brother, Tracy (Kathy) Howe of Romeoville, Illinois, and eleven grandchildren: Benjamen A. Huss, Troy A. Howe, Robert V. Howe III, Brianna L. Howe, Michael J. Lucas, Cheyenne Howe, Joshua D. Royster, Lydia A. Howe, Trevor D. Howe, Tyler M. Howe, and Devon Royster. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 2006 at the Hillsborough Methodist Cemetery in Manchester, Tennessee. Friends will be received from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to the family.
