Roxy R. Ruble, 73 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 in the Adams Memorial Hospital. He was born on Sunday, May 19, 1935 in Allen County, Indiana the son of the late Romey F. Ruble and Treva M. (Barkley) Ruble. He married Mary L. Pancake on November 25, 1956 in Convoy, Ohio. Roxy served in the Indiana Air National Guard. He attended Common Ground Church of the Nazarene (formerly Crossroad Church) and New Hope Church in Decatur. He was a lifelong self-employed grain farmer and was involved in construction work and truck sales. He was a part-owner, with his brother Tom, of T & R Construction and was founder and president of Roxy Ruble and Sons Truck Sales. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ruble of Monroeville, son, Mark (Chris) Ruble of Monroeville, son, Phil Ruble of Monroeville, son, Todd (Lynn) Ruble of Decatur, mother, Treva Ruble of Decatur, brother, Tom A. (Carolyn) Ruble of Monroeville, brother, Ted L. (Dorothy) Ruble of Decatur, brother, Sam B. (Annette) Ruble of Monroeville, sister, Ann A. Bieberich of Decatur, sister, Judy (Larry) Hullinger of Titusville, Florida, sister, Debbie (Eugene) Butcher of Decatur, sister, Leah (Joe) Klinker of Decatur, eight grandchildren; Heather (Daniel) Butcher, Kimberly (Alex) Pawlowski, Daniel Ruble, Abby Ruble, Craig Ruble, Sarah Ruble, Rachel Ruble & Aaron Ruble and one great-grandchild to arrive very soon. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville with Rev. Tony Mosser officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 17 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville and one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Adams County Community Foundation - Cancer Fund or the donor's choice.
