Richard D. Moon Jr., 67 years old and a resident of rural Columbia City, Indiana for twenty-three years and previously of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at his residence following an illness of three weeks. He was born on Wednesday, August 26, 1942 in Paulding, Ohio the son of the late Richard D. Moon and Helen Gordon. Richard was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired in 1999 from Graves Trucking with thirty-two years of service. Surviving are his son, Brian A. Moon of Columbia City, son, Randy M. Moon of Columbia City, mother, Helen Emenhiser of Monroeville, half-brother, Rex Emenhiser of Monroeville and three grandchildren; Lauren, Zoey & Lake Moon. Preceding Richard in death were his father, Richard D. Moon and one brother, Denny Emenhiser. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel with James Clifford officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 14 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville.
