Jimmy Lee Miller

June 21, 1932 — September 24, 2006

Jimmy Lee Miller, 74 years old, a life long resident of Willshire, Ohio, passed away at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2006 at his residence. Jimmy was born on June 21, 1932 in Van Wert County, Ohio, the son of the late Oscar Miller and the late Hila May (Slusser) Miller. He married Betty R. Bayles on January 8, 1950 in Rockford, Ohio and she survives. Jimmy was a member of Praise Point U. B. in Christ Church in Willshire, Ohio; a charter member of the Willshire Sportman's Club and former treasurer. Jimmy retired in 1989 from the General Electric plant in Decatur, Indiana after 22 years of service. He had worked previously for Burk's Elevator in Willshire, Ohio. Surviving are his wife, Betty R. Miller of Willshire, Ohio, daughter, Mrs. Bob (Carol) Blackwell of Candler, North Carolina, sister, Mrs. Gordon (Eileen) Suman of Decatur, Indiana, sister, Mrs. Robert (Louise) Brown of Willshire, Ohio, brother, Jay Miller of Lima, Ohio, brother, Robert Miller of Willshire, Ohio, two granddaughters, and two great-grandsons. Preceding Jimmy in death were three sisters, Inola Alspaugh, Mildred Kelsey, Margaret August; and three brothers, Hilton Miller, Bill Miller, and Paul Miller. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 28, 2006 in the Praise Point U. B. in Christ Church in Willshire, Ohio with the Rev. Mark Rutledge officiating. Interment will follow in the Willshire Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2006 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Preferred memorials are to the Carey, Benny, and Bill Scholarship in care of Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana.
