Carol A. Lough, 64 years old of Monroe, Indiana, passed away at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at her residence. Carol was born on Sunday, February 24, 1946 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Charles E. DeVine and the late Elizabeth Louise (Smith) DeVine. She married Don L. Lough on September 26, 1964 in Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren rural Decatur and he survives. Carol was a member of the St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Decatur, Indiana and the Decatur Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. Carol retired in 2008 from Bi-County Services in Bluffton, Indiana where she had been employed since 1985. Surviving are her husband, Don L. Lough of Monroe, Indiana; daughter, Trisha J. (Bill) Aby of Monroe, Indiana; son, Jeffrey W. (Betty) Lough of Decatur, Indiana; eleven grandchildren: Tre Steffen, Erika Steffen, Dharma Steffen, Ben Aby, Tise Aby, Isaac Aby, Tessa Aby, Cole Lough, Sadie VanOver, Justin VanOver, and Emily VanOver. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana with Rev. Christopher Thurow officiating. Interment will follow in the Ray Cemetery, Monroe, Indiana. Friends will be received from 1-4 and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to Family Hospice & Palliative Care in Berne, Indiana.
