Lynn F. Bearman, 79 years old, a lifetime resident of Monroeville, Indiana, died at 7:50 a.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at his residence following an illness of about one year. Lynn was born Monday, March 6, 1933 in Allen County, Indiana, the son of the late Elmer F. Bearman and the late Pearl G. (Heckler) Bearman. He married G. Jean Spieth on December 26, 1953 at St. Mark's Lutheran, Monroeville and she survives. They had celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary last December. Lynn was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Monroeville where he served numerous terms on the church council. He was a member of the Post #420 Legion of Monroeville; Monroeville Memorial Cemetery Board member for 28 years; a member of the IBEW Local #1549 Electrical Union at Phelps-Dodge; and a 1951 graduate of Monroeville High School. Lynn was a backer of Heritage & Leo High School sports. He was a Cubs & Bear's fan since the Bill Nickelson & Sid Luckman era. Lynn retired from Indiana Rod & Wire as a maintenance specialist after 35 years of service. He had also worked for the Monroeville Home Center for 12 years. Surviving are wife, G. Jean Beaman of Monroeville, Indiana; son, Michael F. (Lori) Bearman of Grabill, Indiana; son, Gil L. (Cheri) Bearman of Hoagland, Indiana; daughter, Robin L. (Ned) Biddle of Leo, Indiana; sister, Mary Ann (Steve) Bruick of Hoagland, Indiana; brother, Ned S. (Barb) Bearman of Hoagland, Indiana; brother, Rev. Dean R. (Laura) Bearman of Big Long Lake, Wolcottville, Indiana; brother, Todd L. (Betty) Bearman of Fort Wayne, Indiana; 9 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Lynn was preceded in death by 2 brothers-in-law: Max Myers & Rev. Herb Drews; and 1 niece, Jennifer Drews. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012 in the St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Monroeville with the Rev. William Smith officiating. Military Graveside services will be conducted by Amercian Legion & V.F.W. Posts of Monroeville. Memorial Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2012 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, and from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church on Thursday. Preferred memorials are to the St. Mark's Lutheran Church; Parkview Hospice; or Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.
