William J. Wiseman, 62 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at his residence. William was born on Saturday, March 1, 1947 in Decatur, Indiana the son of the late Paul Shelby Wiseman and the late Dorothy Margaret (Miller) Wiseman. He served in the United States Army during Viet Nam. William was a member of the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur and the American Legion Post #43. He was a graduate of Decatur Catholic High School Class of 1965. He retired in March from Fort Fabrications and Supply and had previously been employed by Automatic Sprinkler in Monroe, Indiana for over 20 years. Surviving are two brothers, Alan P. Wiseman of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Thomas F. Wiseman of Berne, Indiana. Preceding William in death were two brothers, David and Edward Wiseman. An 8:30 a.m. Prayer Service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2009 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana followed by a 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur, with Father David Voors officiating. Interment will follow in the St Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Decatur, Indiana. Military Graveside Services will be conducted by Adams County Post #43 Color Guard. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2009 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
