Florence E. Dominy, 86 years old a resident of Decatur, Indiana the past two years, passed away at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 in the Woodcrest Nursing Center located in Decatur, Indiana. Florence was born on October 15, 1920 in Avilla, Indiana, the daughter of the late John H. Lobdell and the late Grace H. (Kreienbrink). She married the late Archie L. Dominy on August 17, 1940 in Albion, Indiana, and he passed away on October 25, 1976. She was homemaker. Surviving are her son, Larry G. Dominy of Jacksonville, Florida, daughter, June A. Courtney of Carmel, Indiana, daughter, Nancy L. Downing of Preble, Indiana, sister, Rosemary Akey of Auburn, Indiana, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Preceding Florence in death were one son, Donald L. Dominy; three brothers, John Beatty, William Lobdell and John Lobdell. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2006 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with the Rev. John Follett officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery located in Churubusco, Indiana. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2006 in the Woodcrest Nursing Center Chapel and from 10:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2006 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to the Adams County Community Foundation-Kidney Fund.
